INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A northwest side apartment fire on Monday afternoon damaged five occupied units.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. in the Landmark Apartments, which is near West 79th Street and Harcourt Road.

Indianapolis Fire Batallion Chief Rick Lintner says the fire started in a wall. Apartment management said a contract plumber was sweating pipes in that area Monday morning.

No injuries were reported. The damage is estimated at $15,000.

The residents of all five apartment units were moved to vacant apartments in the complex. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
