Pet Pals: Volunteers rescue thousands of animals

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Tens of thousands of adoptable pets are turned into shelters, about 20,000 to Indianapolis Animal Care and Control last year.

Due to the efforts of great rescue organizations, more than half of those pets made it out alive.

Meet Warren Patitz, head of Move to Act. He also volunteers most of his time to saving adoptable pets.

Also meet Scarlett Cmeil from ARPO, Association for Responsible Pet Ownership.
