3 hurt after head-on crash

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Three people were taken to local hospitals Tuesday afternoon after two cars collided head-on.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at East Raymond Street and South Meridian Street, which is on the city’s south side.

Indianapolis fire officials say a red pickup truck was driving west on East Raymond Street but was driving in the east lanes when it hit a Chevy Suburban.

The passenger was initially trapped inside the Suburban. That person, and both drivers were taken to the hospital. Details on their injuries were not immediately released.

IMPD was investigating the crash on Tuesday.
