Columbus student hurt after hit by car at crosswalk

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A Columbus high school student was injured Wednesday after being hit by a car while walking to school, 24-Hour News 8 news partner The Columbus Republic reports.

It happened around noon at Hawcreek Avenue and 25th Street.

Police say a group of students were crossing the street when the traffic light changed. The student was trying to catch up with the group when a car hit the student.
