Pence requests disaster loans after tornadoes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Governor Mike Pence is requesting federal low-interest disaster loans for three Indiana counties following the tornadoes that moved through the state on Nov. 17.

Pence has requested the U.S. Small Business Administration’s  disaster loan program for Daviess, Fountain and Howard counties, a release from the Department of Homeland Security said.

If declared, neighboring counties would also qualify for low-interest disaster loans. If granted, residents, businesses and some non-profit organizations affected would be eligible to apply.

Those neighboring counties are Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Dubois, Grant, Greene, Knox, Martin, Miami, Montgomery, Parke, Pike, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, and Warren. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
