BROWN COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Brown County school leaders have made the decision to move high school graduation back two weeks.
School officials attended an all-day planning meeting Friday and decided to move the date of graduation, our partners at the Brown County Democrat report.
School officials sent this release Friday afternoon:
Today the Brown County Schools Board Members made an important and difficult decision to move our high school graduation and commencement ceremonies to a new date. The unusual winter weather has caused us to miss several school days already and the potential exists for more severe weather in the coming weeks. This decision was based on what is best for our students and we apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. The new date for the Brown County High School graduation for the class of 2014 is Saturday, June 14.
