Man shot after answering knock on his door

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person was shot when he went to answer his door early Saturday morning on the city’s near north side.

It happened around 5:45 a.m. in the 2900 block of Annette Street, which is near West 29th Street and Eugene Street.

IMPD police dispatch says the man went to the door after he heard someone knocking. When he got to the door, someone shot him through the door.

The victim says he thinks he knows who shot him but was not cooperating with police. He was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately released.
