Police: Four businesses robbed in 2 hours

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis were investigating a string of robberies Saturday afternoon.

The four robberies took place between 12:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Officials say the robberies occurred in the 1600 block of State Avenue, the 2000 block of North Arlington Avenue, the 2400 block of Post Drive, and the 5200 block of North Keystone Avenue.

Witnesses told police a white man in all black clothing and a black handgun entered the store and ordered the clerk to open the cash register. Witnesses told police the man then took the money and took off in a maroon Ford station wagon with two other people inside.

The suspect is described as about 25 years old, 5’7″, and 160 pounds.

Police have not yet confirmed if the incidents are related.
