Martinsville man dies in Johnson Co. crash

WHITELAND, Ind. (WISH) — A Martinsville man died as a result of a car crash in Johnson County over the weekend, according to the Johnson County sheriff.

Joseph Carter, 29, drove off the road, over-corrected and hit a tree around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report. The crash happened near County roads 600 North and 200 East, which is near Whiteland.

It wasn’t clear what caused the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
