Cooking with locally made Jawg Sauce

Josh List, owner Just Add Water Gardens waits until the plants whether tomatoes or pepper are out of that venerable state then sells them to you. What makes these plants and the these sauces special, Josh explains? Plus shares an awesome pork recipe.

Pulled Pork Recipe

Use 2-3 lb pork shoulder. Place on aluminum foil and liberally sprinkle dry rub over all sides of the shoulder.

Wrap with aluminum foil 2 different ways to avoid leakage. Place in oven at 250 degrees for 8 hours turning every 2-4 hours.

Remove from oven and cut aluminum foil off pork. Place pork in casserole dish and pour excess juices from foil bowl into the dish.

Add “Heavenly Sweet” BBQ sauce to top of pork and place in oven at 400 for 1 hour. (Alternate: place in grill and use the aluminum foil bowl to hold wood chips for smoking. Cook on medium for 2 hours or until desired smokiness is reached!!)

Shred pork and serve on dinner rolls with Holy Mother or Good God!! For that extra kick.

Hint: If you are having a party and would like to keep the pork hot add water and stir shredded pork when it begins to dry out.
