INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Motor Speedway is adding another racing weekend to its spring schedule.
Track officials announced Tuesday that the famed 2.5-mile oval will host the Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational from June 6-8.
The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association says fans will get to see 500 of the world’s best and most historic race cars compete on the recently remodeled road course. The weekend also will include a series of exhibition events.
Organizers are promising three days of almost non-stop racing from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Indy has already added a May road race to its IndyCar schedule this year.
