INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Chefs whipped up five delectable recipes on Thursday morning and they all had a common ingredient – Girl Scout cookies.
Five chefs competed at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Girl Scouts, founded in 1912, say they have positively impacts the lives of more than 40,000 girls in 45 counties across central Indiana.
They wanted to start something new with the traditional cookies.
“They’re all really excited about this opportunity to highlight what they can do and so they are all using different Girl Scout cookies,” said Deana Potterf with Girls Scouts of Central Indiana. “They’re excited that it’s not just a common dessert. They can get their chops out there and see what they can do.”
The winning chef was Sam Brown of Second Helpings.
“The least I can do is help them continue to help young girls in our community, absolutely, and hopefully people will buy more Girl Scout cookies for this month,” Brown said.
Brown will be on Indy Style Friday morning at 9 a.m. with the winning recipe.
