Suspects flee after armed robbery in Avon

AVON, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Avon are investigating after an armed robbery occurred at a local Game Stop on Wednesday night.

According to police, at around 6:30 p.m., officers were called to the report of an armed robbery at the Game Stop located at 10415 East US Highway 36. The victim told police that two people, one of which was armed with a handgun, ordered the victim to open the cash register and then lay on the ground.

After taking an unknown amount of cash, the two suspects fled the store in an unknown direction. Police say they don’t know if the suspects had a vehicle.

Detectives planned to review video of the crime.

The suspects were described as wearing masks, gloves and heavy dark clothing. The armed suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall. The second suspect was described as a black individual, unknown if male or female, and a little shorter than the armed suspect.
