INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The best kept animal secrets are being shared in a new exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
The Animal Secrets exhibit opens to the public Saturday morning and answers questions such as, “where does a chipmunk sleep?” and “how do mother bats find their babies in a cave?”
The museum says it’s a great way for parents to encourage a love of science in their children. The hands-on activities and role play stations are geared toward children ages 3 through 8.
“We have some very cool emersive environments. So, we have a cave where you can go inside and use a flashlight and look for the animals that live in a cave! We also have a meadow and a pretend place stream, so you’re creating these what feel like real life environments, but they’re inside and it’s nice and warm at the children’s museum right now,” Jennifer Pace Robinson told 24-Hour News 8.
Information panels are available in both English and Spanish. You can visit the exhibit until May 4, 2014.
