Indy airport turns down Bieber art

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Don’t count Indianapolis International Airport among the #Beliebers.

Indiana Artist Tre Reising designed a piece of art to hang in Concourse B.  When the airport saw it, they didn’t want it.

An airport spokesman told 24-Hour News 8 it was a matter of miscommunication. The airport thought the display, which was to hang for 3 months, would be about hip hop and art. Instead it focused only on Justin Bieber.

The spokesman said they didn’t want a display about one person and didn’t feel comfortable promoting Bieber. The airport has already commissioned a different work from Reising, and will pay him for the #belieber creation. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
