Report: Woman who thought she ran something over robbed

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A woman who thought she hit something while driving stopped her car and then was robbed by two men.

According to the police report, on Monday afternoon an officer responded to the area of South State and East Washington streets to the report of a person robbed.

The officer arrived and talked with the victim who said she was driving eastbound in the 4500 block of E. Washington St. when she heard something hit her car or she ran something over.

She stopped her car to get out and look and when she did, two men came up behind her. One man put his arm around her neck and held a gun to her head, the report said.

The two men demanded the woman give them all of her money, which she did. The men then ran northbound.

According to the report, the suspect armed with a gun was described as a black male, about 5 foot 10 inches tall, wearing dark blue jeans, a black stocking cap, black zip up jacket and dark gloves.

The second suspect was described as a lighter-skinned black male, wearing dark blue jeans, a red shirt with white lettering and blue zip up jacket over it and a dark stocking cap with a white design.

Both suspects were believed to be in their late teens to early 20s. Just over $40 was taken.
