Ambulance involved in serious crash on I-70

WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) – On Friday around 2 p.m., a Trans-Care Ambulance was involved in a serious collision on Interstate 70.

Officials say the ambulance was transporting a patient from an Indianapolis Hospital to Terre Haute when the accident happened near the junction of I-70 and Highway 231.

No information was available on the patient who was being transported in the ambulance, but they were taken from the scene by Putnam County Operation Life.

Both Trans-Care crew members are being evaluated in Terre Haute, our sister station WTHI reports.
