IMPD: Man shot girlfriend on Valentine’s Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police were investigating a shooting on Friday morning on the city’s east side where a man shot his girlfriend, police dispatchers with IMPD said.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of North Colorado Avenue at 6:38 a.m. to the report of a person shot.

Dispatchers say the shooting was a domestic incident.

The woman was alert and conscious at the scene. Police say she was shot in the hip.
