INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Butler freshman guard Rene Castro has left the Bulldogs basketball team, according to a team spokesman.

“Rene informed me that he is planning on transferring to another school,” said Butler head coach Brandon Miller in a press release on Saturday.  “We wish him nothing but the best as he moves forward.”

Castro saw action in 12 of Butler’s 25 games this season, averaging 3.3 points.
