Fire destroys mobile home in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – An early morning fire destroyed a mobile home in Candlelight Village in Columbus Sunday.

The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of Lamplight Drive.

24-Hour News 8’s news gathering partner the Republic reports the home was fully engulfed by fire when the first firefighters arrived. Officials say there were flames shooting out of all the windows.

The fire took about 25 minutes to contain.
