Two IFD vehicles collide Sunday afternoon

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – IFD officials confirm two department vehicles were involved in a crash while responding to a call Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the 4600 block of Southport Crossing Drive around 3:45 p.m. Officials say the vehicles were on their way back from responding to an alarm run at the Courtyard Marriott.  Therefore, alarms and signals were not active at the time of the crash.

One fire officials was transported to Methodist Hospital to be checked out. There were no serious injuries reported.
