INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – IMPD police arrested a 19-year-old teen after they say he shot a 20-year-old in the back early Sunday morning at an apartment complex on the city’s southeast side.

Officials say around 4 a.m., officers were called to the 1000 block of Henslow Lane for multiple shots fired. That street is near Shelby Street and Legrande Avenue.

A report says police found one person, later identified as Jordan Wells of Indianapolis, suffering from several gunshot wounds in his back. He was taken to Sydney & Lois Eskenazi Health in serious condition.

Police arrested Andre McClain of Indianapolis and preliminarily charged him with attempted murder and aggravated battery.
