NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) — Two 18-year-old women each facing a conspiracy charge in connection with a southern Indiana house fire that killed three young siblings have entered not guilty pleas.

Kylie Jenks of New Albany and Shelby Makowsky of Clarksville made their initial appearances Monday in Floyd Circuit Court. A judge ordered them held on $10,000 cash bonds. It’s not clear whether the women have attorneys.

The (Louisville) Courier-Journal and WLKY-TV report prosecutors allege Jenks and Makowsky drove co-defendant Cody Cashion to a New Albany home last month where he allegedly fired a flare into the home, killing 2-year-old Trinity Hughes, 4-year-old Tyrese Hughes and 6-year-old Tai’zah Hughes and injuring 5-year-old Tatyana Hughes.

The 18-year-old Cashion, of New Albany, faces three charges of murder and a single count of arson.
