INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – In the aftermath of Tuesday’s shooting, domestic violence support programs are reaching out to victims.
Melinda Mains, vice president of Development and Communications with the Julian Center, says it’s never too early or too late to pick up the phone and call for help.
She says you can never tell when someone will snap.
“We can see from the unfortunate incident today that things can escalate. We don’t always know, no one ever knows when that’s going to escalate to the point that someone is seriously injured so if you see that there is something happening we certainly encourage individuals to get help,” she said.
If you, or someone you know, is dealing with domestic violence, you’re urged to call the Julian Center’s crisis line at 920-9320.
