INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — 500 Festival events this year boast a trio of celebrities.
Olympic figure skater Gracie Gold, Grammy winner Olivia Newton-John and Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan will all be a part of the May events, 500 Festival officials announced Wednesday.
Gold, who is participating in Olympic events in Sochi, will participate in the IPL 500 Festival Parade. Newton-John is walking the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon with her nephew, a racecar driver, to raise awareness about breast cancer and prostate cancer.
Tynan will take part in the 500 Festival Memorial Service and the IPL 500 Festival Parade. In addition to being an Irish Tenor, Tynan is a Paralympics athlete and orthopedic doctor.
WISH-TV will once again air the Mini-Marathon and 500 Festival Parade. The 500 Festival Memorial Service will air on MyINDY-TV 23.
