Company recalls teething toys sold at Target

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A teething toy sold at Target has been recalled because of a choking hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The company Infantino recalled a monkey teething toy with a tail that seven infants have choked or gagged on.

The company has recalled about 191,000 of the items, which are about 5 inches long and 4 ½ inches tall. The recalled versions will have model number 206-647 on the inside of the left leg.

According to the CPSC, the toys were sold at Target locations across the country and online between December 2012 and January 2014.

Anyone with the teething toy should take the toy away from children and contact the company, Infantino, to get a replacement toy. The company can be reached by calling 888-808-3111 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. PT Monday to Friday (11 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET) or online by clicking here.
