Road in Franklin closed after suspicious cylinder found

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – Officials closed a roadway in Franklin after a suspicious cylinder was found Friday afternoon.

Police say they were conducting an investigation at Nineveh Road and 80 South in Franklin. Officers say around 1 p.m., a suspicious cylinder was found in that area that may contain anhydrous ammonia.

Police say the container is a metal cylinder that is about three feet long with a rubber and plastic hose running out the top of it.

Nineveh Road has since been reopened.
