Two killed in east side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two people were killed in a shooting on the city’s east side early Friday morning.

At 12:39 a.m. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of Stuart Street on the report of shots fired.

When officers arrived they found two men who had been shot.  One man was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other man was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The victims have been identified as Michael Whitfield, 27, and Lorenzo Clark Jr., 22.

Investigators say they have very little information about what led to this shooting. The motive is unknown and detectives have not identified a suspect.
