INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Reigning Indy 500 champion, Tony Kanaan, unveiled the ticket design for this year’s Indianapolis 500 Monday night at Crane Bay in Indianapolis. It’s a picture of him hugging the Borg-Warner trophy.

“We’re almost eight months into it, and I’m still getting to celebrate, so it’s an awesome night,” said Kanaan.

After 12 years of coming to Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Kanaansays it’s exciting to finally sign a ticket that has his face on it.

“My winning the 500, this is one more thing that you can add to your collection.  You can add to your prize,” added Kanaan.  “You can say, ‘oh, my face is on the trophy, but also I know 400,000 people, every single ticket buyer is going to have to look at my face, so it’s pretty neat.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
