FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Police said a man who was angry about his pregnant girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, stood on top of her stomach and stepped on it while telling her he hoped she would lose the baby.
According to the affidavit for probable cause, on November 17, Jason J. White, 19, began to argue with his girlfriend, who was two months pregnant at the time, about the father of her baby. The victim told police White grabbed her shirt and pushed her down on the bed. He also kicked her, our sister station WANE reports.
Officials say White then stood on top of the victim’s pregnant stomach and stepped on it for around 30 seconds. When the victim told White to stop, he said “he hoped she lost her baby” and that “the baby would die,” according to court documents.
White’s father came into his room and made him get off of the victim, according to police.
The victim told police she experienced cramping and pain after the battery. Police said the victim had bruising on her stomach.
White is facing the following charges of battery resulting in bodily injury to a pregnant woman and battery resulting in bodily injury.
