One person in custody after deadly shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says one person was taken into custody after a deadly shooting Saturday afternoon.

The shooting occurred in the 11000 block of Whistler Drive around 1 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

Detectives believe an argument took place between the victim and another person shortly before the shooting.

One person was taken into custody shortly after the shooting and is being questioned. The victim’s vehicle was also taken in as evidence.
