INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)- Police in Indianapolis were investigating after a car went into the Broad Ripple canal early Sunday morning.
The accident happened near College Avenue and Westfield Boulevard shortly before 4 a.m. Officers say a man drove into the water.
They are still trying to figure out how the accident happened. The driver was able to get out of the car on his own and medics took him to Eskenazi Hospital.
He is expected to be ok. It took a couple of hours, but tow trucks got car out of the water by 6:30 a.m.
