State Trooper injured in crash on I-65

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Officials in Bartholomew County closed I-65 northbound at the 68 mile marker due to a crash Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of the interstate at the 76 mile marker. Traffic was being diverted onto State Road 46 at the 68 mile marker.

Officials with the Indiana State Police say a State Trooper was investigating a crash when his car was struck by anther vehicle. He suffered minor lacerations on his head and was transported to the hospital. He has since been released.

I-65 northbound was closed for several hours.
