INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis may finally see something go up where the old Market Square Arena used to be.

Monday night, a committee of the City-County Council approved a proposal to issue bonds to help pay for a project on the property, downtown.

The project is designed to be a 28 story building with luxury apartments, retail space and a parking garage.

The proposal says: up to 23 million dollars may be raised through this bond issue.

Now, the plan goes to the full council for a final vote. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
