Pacers’ George gives third grade student “Dream Day”

PG school

On Monday, Pacers star Paul George gave Glenns Valley Elementary third grader, Zach Archer, a day he’ll never forget.

George showed up at school Monday afternoon to surprise Zach and his classmates, after he won a contest to have PG as a guest a school.  Zach won by selling more tickets to Pacers’ games than any other student in the area.   Over 100 schools participated in the fundraiser.

“I came to see Zach,” said George.  “Zach’s an amazing kid, an amazing student, and (a top) seller. This is a great kid right here.”

George also talked a little shop afterwards, most notably about his health.  PG fell hard on his back late in the third quarter during Sunday’s game vs. the Jazz, but played the rest of the game.

“Feeling good, a little sore,”  he told WISH-TV Monday afternoon.  “But, I’ve got another day to get healthy before we play tomorrow, so I think I’ll be alright.”
