INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An abandoned computer with child pornography led to the conviction of an Avon man, the U.S. Attorney’s office announced Tuesday.

William Donald Horner, 58, was sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison after admitting he possessed child pornography.

Investigators found hundreds of videos and photos of child pornography at Horner’s home in Avon, the U.S. Attorney’s office said. Officers got a search warrant to search his home after an abandoned computer with child porn was left at his previous home in Indianapolis.

After his nearly six-year term, Horner will be under lifetime supervision and must register as a sex offender.
