U.S. Olympic Champion Ted Ligety Wants YOU to Give A Great Start!

Fresh off the slopes of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, gold medalist, Team Kellogg’s and USA Ski Team member Ted Ligety will help feed the potential of kids in need!

U.S. Olympic champion Ted Ligety proved that from great starts come great things by becoming one of the best alpine skiers in the world.

Ted believes everyone deserves a great start and that begins with breakfast, but every day, one in five kids goes without breakfast1. That’s why Kellogg’s has partnered with Action for Healthy Kids® and Team Kellogg’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes to help provide two million breakfasts to children in need through the ‘Give A Great Start’ program.

Just days after the closing ceremony of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Ted will be helping kick off National Breakfast Week, March 3-7, to help feed children’s potential and give them the great start that they deserve and YOUR VIEWERS CAN HELP!

Families can help make a difference by going to to view the ‘Great Starts’ video, as well as a series of Start Story videos that follow the athletes’ inspirational beginnings and journeys to the Sochi Games. When fans view, like, re-tweet, pin or share one of the athletes’ Start Stories, or Great Start online content using #greatstarts, Kellogg’s will help provide breakfast to a child in need2. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
