Trafalgar man arrested for OWI after crashing into tree

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A 23-year-old Johnson County man was arrested Monday after crashing his vehicle into a tree and telling investigators, “I have been drinking. Do what you must,” according to police reports.

Shawn Dugger’s vehicle was badly damaged after he lost control while on State Road 44 and crashed it into a tree. He refused medical treatment and was outside of the vehicle when officers arrived.

Dugger admitted he had been drinking whiskey and tested at nearly three times the legal limit to be driving.

He was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated.
