WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The controversy over a proposed plaque at Purdue University seems to be over.

The lawyer for Dr. Michael McCracken said a settlement with Purdue has been reached and that the plaque will reference “God’s physical laws” in a quote that will be attributed to Dr. McCracken, our sister station WLFI reports.

The plaque made national news last week after Purdue originally refused McCracken’s proposed wording involving the word “God.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
