INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon in a shooting on the south side of Indianapolis, officials with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirm.

The incident happened in the 4000 block of Independence Drive, which is in a neighborhood along Hannah Avenue, between Meridian and East streets.

It appeared to be the same apartment complex where a pizza delivery driver was shot and killed in late January.

Officials tell 24-Hour News 8 the victim is a 20-year-old who was shot in their side. That victim was not cooperating with officers. They were taken to Eskenazi Hospital with serious injuries.
