INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police detained a man overnight after they said he took off after being pulled over and crashed into an SUV.

An officer pulled the man over after his pickup truck hit a parked car near Michigan and Rural streets, according to police. The driver then took off and was northbound on Keystone Avenue when he crashed his pickup into an SUV that was eastbound on 30th Street.

The pickup driver, suspected of drunken driving, was detained, while his passenger was released. The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital but was expected to be OK. Two children in the SUV were also expected to be OK.
