How to maintain a good balance of protein, fats and carbs throughout your Mini Marathon Training Program

Tara Hipp, DPT Franciscan St. Francis Health offer up suggestions on how to maintain a good balance of protein, fats and carbs throughout training.

TIPS:

• Pre-Race (3 to 4 hours before): Eat a balanced meal/snack & drink 20oz of water to allow for digestion

• Post-Race: replenish proteins and water to aid in recovery

• Avoid refined carb, oils, sugars and trans fats – READ INGREDIANT LISTS!
