GREENSBURG, Ind. (WISH) – Police say a teenage boy has died after a shooting in Greensburg Tuesday evening.

It happened in the 1000 block of North Carver around 5:45 p.m. Officers say 13-year-old Craig Roberts, a Greensburg Junior High School student, was shot.

24-Hour News 8’s news partners at the Greensburg Daily News reports the teen was pronounced dead at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

Events surrounding the shooting death are still being investigated.

Police say the victim’s mother and a man, a 6-year-old and a 7-year-old were inside the home at the time of the shooting, along with the 13-year-old. Police also say the gun belonged to a man in the home. Officers have not yet said who shot the teen.

An autopsy is scheduled for the 13-year-old. Police say they hope to release more information Wednesday.
