Parole violation arrest leads to discovery of meth lab

ROCHESTER, Ind. (WISH) – Wednesday night, officers serving a warrant arrested five people and discovered an active methamphetamine lab.

According to the Indiana State Police, officers went to a Rochester home to arrest 24-year-old Eugene Dovich for parole violation. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail.

Further investigation lead officers to a home in the 900 block of East 9th Street in Rochester, where they arrested 22-year-old Chans Baumgart and 25-year-old James Clark for parole violation. While police were arresting the pair, they noticed drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

Officers obtained a search warrant and found methamphetamine, an active methamphetamine lab, drug precursors, and drug paraphernalia.
