INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Friends and Family decided to remember a musician who was shot and killed while working as a pizza delivery driver in his favorite way: with music.

The money raised at Friday’s event is going to pay for his headstone.

“Daniel always helped everybody and with him gone, there’s going to a big empty spot there,” Daniel’s mother, Dawna Jaffke, told 24-Hour News 8.

Friday was not the first time Jaffke was honored with a musical performance. Events were held in February to honor him. He was honored the night after he was killed and also the week after.

Jaffke, 30, was delivering a pizza to a couple in the 4100 block of Continental Court when he was shot and killed. Shawn Wilson is accused of shooting Jaffke and stealing his car. Wilson has pleaded not guilty to the crimes.
