I-65 SB back open in Boone Co. after six-vehicle pile up

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A six-vehicle pile up shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 in Boone County on Saturday morning, police dispatchers said.

Police said the crash happened around 9:45 a.m. just north of the 149 mile marker. Only minor injuries were reported.

State Police said traffic was able to get by on the median. Northbound traffic was not affected.

It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash. Police said shortly after 11 a.m. that southbound lanes had re-opened.
