Illinois murder suspect arrested in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Detectives with IMPD’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested a man Tuesday afternoon they say was wanted in connection to a murder out of Danville, Illinois.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Dejuan Alexander of Indianapolis, was apprehended during a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Shadeland Avenue.

Police say Alexander will be transported to the Arrestee Processing Center and will be held, without bond, awaiting extradition proceedings, a release from IMPD said.

Danville Police have asked that Alexander’s photo not be released for investigative reasons.
