INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Detectives with IMPD’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested a man Tuesday afternoon they say was wanted in connection to a murder out of Danville, Illinois.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Dejuan Alexander of Indianapolis, was apprehended during a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Shadeland Avenue.
Police say Alexander will be transported to the Arrestee Processing Center and will be held, without bond, awaiting extradition proceedings, a release from IMPD said.
Danville Police have asked that Alexander’s photo not be released for investigative reasons.
WCIA in Champaign, Illinois reports Alexander is accused of shooting two people outside of a Danville club on Sunday. One of the victims later died.
