INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Moving the David Bisard trial from Marion County to Allen County will end up costing taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars.

24-Hour News 8 obtained the bill for the Allen County portion of the trial on Wednesday, totaling nearly $26,000.

A jury found Bisard guilty last November of causing a deadly crash back in 2010 that killed a man.

Some of the expenses Marion County must now pay include $142 for transporting Bisard, $4,200 in miscellaneous expenses including overtime, plus $18,000 for jurors’ mileage, meals and lodging.

That trial lasted 17 days. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
