One victim in double shooting dies

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Hospital officials say one victim of Wednesday’s double shooting has died.

A spokesperson for Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Health confirms Timothy Moorman Jr. died Wednesday of gunshot wounds suffered in a shooting at a residence on the southeast side. The second victim of that shooting, Sherman Wagers was upgraded to fair condition.

Both men were found by police at a home in the 5000 block of Brookville Road around 2:15 a.m. One of the victims was able to give police a description of the alleged shooter.

Police arrested Richard Burns Jr. nearby. He was arrested on two preliminary charges of attempted murder. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
