INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — OneAmerica is donating $1 million to be split between Wheeler Mission and The Oaks Academy, the company announced Friday morning.

The donation is in honor of CEO Dayton Molendorp, who is retiring as of Monday.

OneAmerica and its parent company, American United Mutual Insurance Holding Company, are making the donations.

At Wheeler Mission, the money will in large part go toward hiring a director of food services. At The Oaks Academy, the money will be used for scholarships for low-income students and for campus expansion. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
